Based in the vibrant coastal town of Oamaru, our core business is bringing electricity from the national grid to over 13,000 connected customers in North Otago and parts of South Canterbury. Network Waitaki provide innovative energy solutions to our customers, as well as providing electrical construction and maintenance services across New Zealand
About the Role:
This role assists our busy IDT Team, supporting the effective day-to-day delivery of IT services across our business. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a passion for technology and a natural flair for helping people. The IT Support Administrator is the go-to person for staff needing day-to-day tech support, helping with minor IT issues and coordinating escalated issues with our wider IDT team and suppliers, making sure nothing slips through the cracks.
You don’t need to be a tech whiz, but you do need to be highly organised, great with people, and keen to grow your skills in a supportive team. If you're the kind of person who gets things sorted and loves keeping things running smoothly, we'd love to hear from you.

Preferred attributes:
- NCEA level 3 (or equivalent)
- Competency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word and Excel) required
- Previous customer service experience in a business or corporate environment
- Clear and confident verbal communication skills
- Excellent written communication skills
- Ability to follow through to completion (a ‘Finisher’)
- Customer orientation and an ability to listen, understand and respond to customers in a calm and professional manner
- An affinity for information technology coupled with a desire to develop IT related skills
- Tertiary training in information technology or business administration an advantage
- Ability to multi-task, prioritise, and manage time effectively
