Based in the vibrant coastal town of Oamaru, our core business is bringing electricity from the national grid to over 13,000 connected customers in North Otago and parts of South Canterbury. Network Waitaki provide innovative energy solutions to our customers, as well as providing electrical construction and maintenance services across New Zealand.
About the Role:
We’re on the lookout for a motivated and people-focused individual to join our Customer Services Team. This dynamic role supports a range of activities from frontline customer service and fault communications to digital content creation, event support, and community engagement.
As the Customer and Communications Administrator, you’ll be the welcoming face of Network Waitaki handling enquiries and assisting with internal and external communications. You'll also help plan and deliver events and community initiatives that connect us with the people we serve.

Preferred attributes:
- Previous experience in a customer-facing, communications or admin role would be ideal
- Competent with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Strong customer service skills and a professional, friendly manner
- Clear verbal and written communication skills
- Good organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and manage priorities
- Comfortable working across different communication channels (phone, email, social media, in-person)
- Familiarity with digital tools (e.g. social media platforms, website CMS, Adobe Suite) an advantage
- Interest or experience in event planning, community engagement or communications
